Blade or Glavie?

Hi.
I want to make a pure str char.
So there is blade or glavie to choose.
I cant decide.
Blader can take loads of damage (more than glavie because of shield), and the skills look better.
But on the other side the make poor damage.
Glavie makes more damage than blade and can also tank.


So there is my question too you, what shall i choose?

why? dunno ,i just took a little piece of paper and cut it into 2 pieces, then i wrote "blade" on the first and "glavie" on the second piece, after that i mixed it nicely and picked one piece out, TADAA! it was blade!

its a thing of what you want to to with the char
if you want a nice pvp char and you are convinced that you will lvl him, take blader
but better for farm , solo gaming and also quite good in pvp, take glavie
if you want to have all things in one take bow

Bladers are good... but they kill slow... but you can tank many mobs at the same time... other hand... glave die a little easier (do to lack of shield)... but can do more damage quickly.... but they can also tank more then 1 thing at a time... so really.. either works well... this is what I find myself... but I love bladers most of all... their chains and attacks to so work very well with each other.. but its a long climb to the top... but worth it in the end! So ya BLADER over galver any day =D

So Blader's are better at PvP than Glavie's?

yes they are cause they are hard to kill

my opinion is to do blader because u'll having and shield(block)

I'll always choose Glavie.
If you like skills from Glavie, and little higher dmg you choose Glavie.
But if you want kd, alot of combo skills and have shield you choose Blade.

It's hard to choose because this two builds are very good.
I'll always choose Glavie

my opinion china pur str is shit ^^ maybe bow is good but 10dg Blade/Glavie cant ks 9dg nuker or wiz

in pvm are int chars much better, yes, no question
but in pvp normally str char > int chars
cause if wizz doesnt open a fight, he looses when enemy is on same lvl (normally), and nuker die easily too if the enemy survives 2nukes or more
so its a question of which main aspect of the game you want to focus or its just a question of which build and which way of playing you like
for me its the style of the combos why i would decide for a blader and cause i played in isro a glavier from 1-80 with my own hands and i am bored of his three skills he uses every tiem

My Opinion is Glavie , Why :
Blader can tank Very well , olso glavie do ..... You are str so you can tank very well .....
Blader Dosent do high dmg , glavie do .

but when u have a good armor u can win only wiz ^^ wiz die easily your right and in pvp int chars are not very good maybe hybrid int can rule like 7:1 spear nuker and when u use a high snow shield as nuker u can maybe attack 2 times and than the message appear cannot use due to blabla mana ^^ but the same for str chars and nuker make high dmg so maybe 2 nukes and pur str chars die but dont know with shield they can block y.y and i saw it with never as i made last time pvp i couldnt win against a glavie 9dg ^^
but i stay at my opinion china pur str is not so good i like only the europe pur str but there not all int builds like warlock i hate warlock ^^

well its the endless discussion about the best buiild etc
everyone has its own opinion and thats good cause if it would be so, there would be only 1class and rest would be abandonned so lets stop this theoretic discussion cause nobody will go a step in the other direction from his opinion

You hate warlocks? OMG.. they rock.. ever see a Warlock/Cleric PVP? How about the fact they can do over 1M damage at lvl 90 with 1 hit... I am dieing to see what 1 can do at lvl 100... I have yet to see any class do this... so ya.... for them not being equal.. for a int build you right.. because they stand in a world all of their own!

Let a Glavier and Blader on lvl 100 make pvp.
I swear that always the blader will wins.

With the new combos and statusses like bleed ... the blader do alot of damage.
And when u have a good weapon a blader lvl same fast as a glavier.

Thats my opinion.

I have played both... up to lvl 8X.. and your right the new buffs and bleed.. and stuff like that do give bladers a big boost.. but its so long till you get it.. that most people that grind with a blader give up before they reach this... which goes back to my point that I love bladers.. .but its a long climb to the top.. =D Ever see a lvl 90 Blader with the aid of a cleric... pvp? I'll see if i can find the video I watch of one takeing on 6+ players the same time with the cleric healing in the safe zone.. 15+ min video... and all of them could not kill one "little" blader.. myself.. I have pvped glaver after glaver... they have a hard time to win if you just spam KDs... but take that away and its game over.. again.. just what I have seen. =D

I vote Blader.

Reason: They are a tank and they can do damage if you have skills setup right.

Bonus to bladers:
Shield: Extra Defense and Extra Block
Weapon: The Debuffs. kd oh and 4 stabs..... 4 w/ a +5% critical increase
Example Division Most people don't realize that Division reduce your enemies defense. So you do double the damage when they have Division and bleed helps even more.

Lets put it this way I have a lvl 90 archer on isro full str full 3rd tier 9d Garm +5 100% blues. when fighting a blader most I do is 8k dmg they do about 4-5k dmg normal. I had a lvl 85 blader do a 19k critical on me all because I was debuffed. 19k that's alot! Don't under estimate the damage of bladers. Also csro the 2nd combo give stun fear and division so it is even better.

I have killed many lvl 80 character w/ my lvl 79 blader it never dies and it is wearing a 76 npc shield.

Glavies are okay but they rely on stun and kb sorta like an archer. only bonus a glavier has is hp increase thats it.

Maybe here is one answer

the thing with these videos is that you dont see that many of these players have sun gear and you only get to see that pvps they won, never such they lost
i think you got to make you own experiences in order to improve your opinion
so just choose a build which fits to you and make the best out of it
