Cheng this server dont works, my file sl which i had it already is biger than this one here and is not all, files are not 100% on those folders.
I dont think so that they post all corrects files for server, they are not so stupid to do this.

Ok to start you off you must follow the instuctions to the letter to make this work

Ensure you have installed

(Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0)

(;">Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition)

(MSXML 6.0)

(SQL Server Management Studio Express)

In order to run the database correctly, all you need to do is;

- Make a SQL user login called (Conn_account) with password !account

- Make a new database called (account) and execute (account_db.sql) on it

- Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools and open Data Sources (ODBC)

- Click Add... scroll down and select SQL Server then press Finish.
- In the name field type (Account_DB) in the last field select your SQL's name.

- Select Next > then choose With SQL Server authentication... option

- Login ID will be (Conn_account) and password is (!account). Press Next >

- Select Change the default database to: and select account.

- From there on just keep to the default OKs or Next.

- Go to GlobalManager folder and open Server.cfg in an editor.

- Change values for SilkDBConfig for these values;

-SERVER=127.0.0.1
-DSN=Account_DB
-UID=Conn_account
-PWD=!account
-DATABASE=account

This is a quick run down on how to get started
1. you must make the Sql account with the same conditions to work

2. Here Below is pictures to help you

3. if you can not do this maybe this is not for you to try

4. sometimes pictures speak better than words

5. there is server configs in the server rar all you need to do is change the ip's

This is not a fully working server or database yet

But mega progress has been made and we need to get this going

if everybody who knows Sql, ollydb, C++, packets was to help this would be open to the public alot sooner

When more progress has been made i will edit this post and update as much as i can

if you reply to this topic only post something that is to do with the topic

i will open another thread for suppot on this subject

Try running in this sequence;

- Certification
- GlobalManager
- DownloadServer
- GatewayServer
- FarmManager
- ShardManager
- GameServer
- MachineManager (found in GameServer folder)
- AgentServer

However, ShardManager does have a problem because of the incomplete database.

installation and configuration using sql server 2005 enterprise.
tuts are in PNG picture format, and can be found in the png directory.

extras are additional stuff included just for fun, if you want, discard
them. -added some files to edit for the server. to use them;

# run the file "EXT_IP.exe" included in the package. it will show you ur external IP.

# use notepad to open all the cfg and ini files.

# go to Edit on the menu bar and select Replace...

# Find what: [EXT_IP] Replace with: (the IP address EXT_IP.exe showed you)

# press Replace All. then save.

# copy over these changed files to their respective server folders. for cert, its the slyz thing.

if you have a problem with Slyz or Cert with a Error saying Len is not defined

This is because you need to rename the folder [][][][][] to a name i.e cert or ss anything other than [][][][][]

You have to settings your Modem/Router when someone ask for your IP to going in your pc where u have server installed.
And yes u have to give to this guy your IP address.

this tutorial is incomplete..!!
it never says what to do with some other files like silkroadJP_database-- where it must be placed
and the link is sql 2000 while the pictures in tutorial is sql 2005... and another thing is it's only an evaluation copy.. how can we assure that we can have all the features as a database admins..?

it also says that MachineManager (found in GameServer folder) but only .cfg file i found..

what is this for:?
-SERVER=127.0.0.1 --> if we have to use EXT_IP.exe, then why it must be changed to ths IP

-DATABASE=account

of those new to this like me, its really confusing..

can anybody re-state it step-by-step..?
