Glaive or Rogue?

Glaive or Rogue? Empty Glaive or Rogue?

Post by Zu Fri Nov 27, 2009 11:14 pm

So lately I've been thinking about either making a glaive or rogue. The reason why I chose those two is of course, due to the low SP requirements. So, what build is more fun to play, glaive or rogue? It would be cool if someone has experience with both builds. Glaive>rogue: it has AoE skills, nice looking skills, an overall build, has a lot of hp unlike a rogue with Crossbow Extreme or Dagger Desperate on. Rogue>glaive: deals more damage than a glaive, levels faster (?).

It's a pity that both builds are bad in parties, I would make a warlock/cleric over glaive or rogue. Though the SP requirement is ridiculously high. The main factor I focus on is grinding, not PvP, maybe later I'll jobwar.

PS.: My build for glaive would be, ice/fire and for rogue it would be mainly crossbow and lvl 40+ dagger skills.

I personally like rogue they have alot more advantages especially during jobs. If I were going to make a rogue I'd go xbow/dagger/cleric. If you have cleric as a sub class it'll do fine in 8/8 parties xbow for grind, and dagger for pvp, but it'll be alot more sp around 1.5m sp give or take. It's more than worth it because you can use xbow to knock down, switch to dagger, cast buff use, critical skill, and then combo and they are dead no matter what build.

A glavier is just boring you use maybe 3 skills the whole time. They level slower. The only good thing about them are that they have a buttload of health.

well i have to disagree with llllll, he'd better say "i think glavier is boring..." cause glavie is the only build i don't get bored of and i've tried em all believe me.
don't choose about strength and skills and party and grinding or whatever just do what sounds most fun to you and pick that option Wink

^__^ Everyone has different taste. Smile
I just think you get more options w/ rogues like critical, stun, dmg increase, stealth, speed, tracking, traps, poison, knock down, knock back, etc...

Where glavie only has: stun, knock back, *EDIT: dull, and hp...
