Glaive or Bow? Empty Glaive or Bow?

Post by Zu Tue Jan 26, 2010 4:05 am

Yeah guys, once again I want you to choose my fate Glaive or Bow? Icon_razz So lately I realised EU characters are just not my thing, due to the long potion cooldown and less nice looking skills. Therefore I decided either bow or glaive would be a good character for me to play with. I want to play a FUN build, so which one is more fun?
It would be lovely if someone had experience with both bow and glaive. By the way, as for the builds concern; glaive will be pure STR ice/fire or force/fire and the bow will be hybrid STR fire/light.

Looking at videos of hacyu (force glaive), stonehead1234 (pure STR bow) and MarcBersegon (STR 9:1 bow) really makes it impossible to choose. Therefore I need your help. Glaive or Bow? Icon_smile

I've had em both, but again we can't tell you.

I prefer glavie while my brother prefers bow. Do not choose for the one which seems strongest but choose the one which is more fun to play.
If i speak with own experiences I can't get enough of the heuksal skills, i like big weapons. Bow looks just looks boring, especially on start, if you have a FF bow around lvl 60 then the fun really begins.

If you are planning to get FF i'd suggest get yourself a bow, if you don't like farming till you die i'd say go for a glavie.

you won't regret any of these builds Wink

Glaive or Bow? Empty Re: Glaive or Bow?

Thanks for the input so far. I heard glaive burns a lot of MP potions and grinds somewhat slower than a bow. I like big weapons too. I know this thread is kinda pointless, because in the end I'm the one who chooses...

I have switched builds over and over again for the last year Glaive or Bow? Icon_razz Fast grinding, lower damage (bow) vs. big weapon, big damage (glaive). Hmmmpff, what a hard choice...

dont forget... bow used arrows.. and arrows take a lot of place in you inventory.
But can kill over a long distance.

Glavie used a lot of potions. But kill a mob nearby.
You see lot more of a mob.

I would say make a list with + and - points for each of them.
And choose. But why dont you make them both?
You can always said with one you go on.

Good luck and have fun !!!
